How does it Work ?

First of all you need the newest Version of CSL its currenly on the Ogros Homepage (ogros/tipps&tricks) and setup all the configuration of CSL.

1.Configration

1.1. Goto File-Settings.
1.2. Type your Sauerbraten Path

2.Update the Serverlist

2.1.Right-Click Update From Masterserver



3.Customize Your CSL

It's easy to customize CSL
e.g if you don't like the Server Information you can't close that window and it will not appear on your csl.
But you can also drag all of that small windwows in diffrent postions or assign the size of the windows.
Here is a example how to add a server window in CSL

3.1.Right click on your Server
3.2.Goto Extended Information- Mini



3.3. Now you can drag this window to any place you like in csl



4.Homepage Link

It's also possible to create Links for your Homepage with CSL
e.g if you don't like the Server Information you can't close that window and it will not appear on your csl.

3.2.Click on Create CSL Links - Connect

What is CSL ?

CSL is a great application for Sauerbraten, Cube 1, Blood Frontier and AssaultCube. Its very helpfull to connect to a Server. Its helpful to look up whats going up on the servers and see all the Player stats of all Servers.

I only see 2-3 servers

Please make sure that you're installed CSL version 0.8.1.79 >
If you're runnig this version do a Masterupdate (see Configration 2.1)
If you still have this problem make sure you have selected the right masterserver or included it.

There could be two masterservers if you installed an older version of csl before !





How can I add the old/a masterserver ?

If you want to see the servers of the old Sauberbraten version you can include it :
Goto Master - Add Masterserver

For the old Sauerbraten Masterserver :

Address= sauerbraten.org
Port= 80
Path= /masterserver/retrieve.do?item=list

I can only see the first the 3 bytes (192.168.0.x) of an ip

Thats right and its not a bug !

HOWTO install Cube Server Lister on Ubuntu / Debian ?
(It has been tested on a system in use and a fresh install of 9.10 in virtualbox)

-> to get the csl sourcecode, local copy has to be checked out from repository
-> install subversion
sudo apt-get install subversion

-> check out ("co") a local copy to the folder csl-svn:
svn co http://cubelister.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/cubelister/trunk csl-svn

-> now there is a local copy of the source code of csl in folder csl-svn
cd csl-svn

-> install a few packages (not present in 9.10 by default)

sudo apt-get install automake
sudo apt-get install libtool
sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-dev
sudo apt-get install intltool
sudo apt-get install g++
sudo apt-get install libwxgtk2.8-dev

make -f Makefile.cvs
./configure
make
sudo make install

-> type 'csl' to start, hit F5 to update from master server. That's it.

Why i have to download the .cfg-files of the maps in CSL are the .png not enough?

The cfg are necessary for the Regen/capture modes for the the extended information where you can see the bases for a map.

There are some map images missing how can I include them with bases ?

Its easy to include map images in CSL.
First you have to take an screenshoot of that map then you can add it in cslmapcfgtool (its in your csl folder )
Now you can assign the bases make sure that you have include it in the same order like in the created map.
